Birthday fever!

Hello, thanks for popping by. Sorry about the silence, I haven't been able to log in for a while.

Both our children have had birthdays this past week - 21 and 17 years old, with much celebrating going on. Our daughter was kindly brought home a little before 2am after having "a bit too much to drink" - her friend Lizzie is the queen of the understatement! Her friends had been so generous buying her drinks and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. Couldn't wake her up so we manhandled her out of the car into the house and laid her on the living room floor, on towels, in the recovery position. (Apparently they also did this on the pavement outside the club while Emily brought the car round.) Then I watched over her for the next few hours until she recovered. Normally she is very good and is usually mopping up and looking after her friends rather than the other way around, but as she pointed out next day, 'it will only be my 21st once!'. Once is enough in my opinion!!

Anyway, you would think that with such a 'momentous occasion' that I would have been on the case with a card weeks before, wouldn't you? Oh no! The day before I was still struggling to come up with something, had played around with some keys but couldn't really see the point in that, as she has had a house key since she was 11. Eventually I found this lovely Manga girl 2 image that Tracey had sent me. Tracey's work always inspires me, http://lalkygirl-my-creative-place.blogspot.com/
I don't know if this link thing will work, despite help from Jo and Jenni at Trimcraft.

Hope you like the resulting card. See you again soon, I hope.
Hugs
